Marsha Knackstedt, PhD, will show how to compile digital memories to tell a family story at the January Foothills Genealogical Society Meeting. She is the owner of Leave a Legacy in Fort Collins, and specializes in old photo restoration, film transfers, digital scrapbooking and DVD slide shows. Marsha will address both the creative and the technical aspects of chronicling remembrances.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 1:00 p.m. in Applewood Valley United Methodist Church, 2035 Ellis St., Golden. Guests are always welcome and there is ample parking and handicap access.
Come early and bring a lunch to enjoy during the informal discussion before the meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lynn Gunderson will present “Online Genealogy Books” in a Roundtable format. Lynn, the Adult Services Coordinator for Jefferson County Public Library, will tell how to find online family and local history books which can be great sources of genealogical information. He will focus on the best websites and collections for digital family history materials including Google Books, FamilySearch and Heritage Quest.
